The site for this house is within a subdivision limited to architect-designed homes and regulated by building restrictions controlling views, building heights, and aesthetic considerations. The client’s specific program requirements in relation to outdoor areas and views generated the disposition of the house to the site.  This house site transitions down from the street to garage and to house. The spaces between the garage, street, and house which are sited to the view become entry courts. Family public areas in this house are on upper levels affording expansive views; family private areas are below, with activity areas relating directly to grade.
