Kahala Residence I
Honolulu, O‘ahu
Info +

This elegant but informal vacation house takes maximum advantage of a small land parcel fronting the seashore, creating a home of leisure with large open living spaces, a master suite, two guest bedrooms and caretaker quarters.

Entry doors open from a walled court onto a covered lanai between the kitchen, pool area, and a living room which flows into a long terrace facing the shoreline. With a highly flexible sense of closure addressing privacy and weather, the house’s timeless materials—terrazzo, plaster, cedar, teak, and copper—express durability and permanence.
